Also, he has a secret persona in the form of Mr. Prince, who is quite popular among his admirers.
There are also some comedic aspects connected with his character, like his rivalry with Zoro, his anger towards Luffy eating everything, and his behavior towards the female characters of One Piece. It is one of his biggest personality traits that has been a big reason for debate among the fans of the series.
Eiichiro Oda destroyed Sanji’s character with the perverted gag
Sanji’s behavior towards women in One Piece is so extreme that it feels perverted in more than one way. There have been many instances within the story where the way he acts towards the female character has made fans uncomfortable, and thus, it has affected his popularity a lot. If this trait had not been a part of his identity, he would have been the best character.

In Sanji’s case, it has become so extreme that it is negatively affecting his character in a big way. This style of Eiichiro Oda is quite contentious and, thus has been questioned many times.
Sanji is one of the few characters who has the potential to become the best-written character in One Piece. From his past narrative to his continuous development, his character was perfect in almost every way, but Oda destroyed it by giving him one of the most controversial personality traits that will be associated with his character until the end.
