In the course of action, one of the men is accidentally thrown in the subway. Once it is revealed that they are police officers, Ayala is arrested by the police.

According to the comics, there have been four successors who have since carried the White Tiger mantle, two of them carrying the original iteration of the Ayala, drawing their powers from the amulets.
