Marvel Rivals’ Upcoming LTM Promises More Thrill but It Also Happens to Be a Recipe for Peak Frustration

Just when you thought Marvel Rivals couldn’t get any crazier, NetEase decides to throw the entire multiverse into a blender. Their latest limited-time mode, Clone Rumble, is set to launch on March 7th, and it’s either going to be the most exhilarating thing you’ve ever played or the reason you finally snap and throw your controller through a wall.

Picture this: You’re capturing a point when suddenly, not one, not two, but six Mister Fantastics come stretching around the corner like some sort of rubbery nightmare fuel. And that’s just the beginning of the madness that Clone Rumble promises to unleash.

But here’s the million-dollar question: Is NetEase giving us the chaotic playground we’ve always dreamed of, or are they just trolling us at this point?

When “too much of a good thing” becomes an understatement

NetEase‘s trailer for Clone Rumble is a masterclass in knowing your audience. That opening sequence with a dozen Mister Fantastics waddling onto the point? Pure comedy gold. It’s clear the devs understand exactly what kind of gleeful chaos they’re unleashing.

But let’s talk about what this actually means for Marvel Rivals gameplay. Imagine a team of Doctor Stranges opening portals simultaneously. Your GPU isn’t sweating—it’s having a full-on panic attack. And don’t even get us started on the cacophony of six Moon Knights shouting, “The MOOOOON haunts you!” It’s going to be less of an ultimate ability and more of a recipe for insomnia.

Sure, the meme potential is off the charts. But let’s be real—this mode is going to be a beautiful disaster.

Winter Soldiers everywhere? Hope you like respawning because that’s all you’ll be doing.

The real kicker? Some team compositions are going to be absolutely broken. A squad of Lokis means 36 tricksters running around. Your brain will melt trying to figure out which one is real.

Luna’s ultimate spam? Meet Magneto’s “FEAR MAGNETO” on repeat. It’s less of a fight and more of a very aggressive shouting match. But hey, at least we’re all in this chaos together, right?

Or maybe not. One look at the trailer and some players are already “nope” -ing out faster than your team’s supports evaporating to a flanking Namor.

Rolling the dice on Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure

If the clone-filled carnage wasn’t enough, NetEase is turning the reward system into a cosmic board game. The trailer gives us a glimpse of what looks like Monopoly designed by the Grandmaster. You’ll apparently roll a five-sided die (because regular dice are too mainstream) to move Galacta around the board and snag rewards.

There are 320 Units up for grabs, along with the usual suspects of calling cards, emotes, and sprays. But the real prize? A free Black Widow skin that turns her into Mrs. Barnes, complete with a signature MVP animation that’ll make you feel like you’ve stepped into a Wild West fever dream.

Now, let’s address the Celestial in the room. This mode isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea. Some PCs are going to cry for mercy, and plenty of players will tap out after their third consecutive match of “dodge the army of Hulks.”

But you know what? Marvel Rivals has always been about embracing the absurd. So, why not lean into it? Give Clone Rumble a shot. Who knows, you might just have the time of your life. Or you’ll rage quit and swear off hero shooters forever. Either way, it’ll be memorable.

What’s your take on Clone Rumble? Are you ready to dive into the madness, or will you be sitting this one out? Let us know in the comments!
