McEwan and Davidson had formed a sexual relationship after he had been removed from the school roll at Castlemilk High School in Glasgow in May 2019.
Davidson and fellow thug John Wilson launched their vicious and unprovoked assault which saw unarmed Taube knifed eight times in August 2020.
He suffered bleeding around his heart and a collapsed lung in the attack.
McEwan and Davidson left the scene of the stabbing before police and paramedics could arrive and she allowed him to stay at her house.
She also tried to persuade a witness to the incident to not cooperate with the probe into the incident by not telling police her name and address.
PE teacher McEwan, who was faculty head at the school, was hauled before the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).
She admitted a string of allegations against her and was struck off for two years.
McEwan also confessed to drinking alcohol with former S6 pupils in April 2019 and allowing a photo of her doing so to be taken which was later posted on Facebook.
She further admitted driving Davidson home from school in her car at some point in 2019.
McEwan signed an order to remove herself from the profession which saw her admit her conduct after the attempted murder was ‘dishonest’ and ‘lacking integrity’ which meant she was unfit to teach.
The High Court in Glasgow previously heard an argument had broken out between McEwan and Davidson before violence erupted on the street.
Taube was repeatedly punched and stabbed by both yobs before Davidson and McEwan fled the scene in a car.
He had to undergo emergency treatment and medics said he would have died if he had not received the operation.
Lord Mulholland told Davidson and Wilson they were ‘very lucky’ not to have been facing a murder charge after they admitted attempted murder at a hearing in March 2021.
