Carl Dean Thomas passed away on 3rd March 2024, as announced on Dolly Parton’s social media handles. The businessman is survived by his wife, and two siblings, Sandra and Donnie. Parton and Dean have no children of their own. It has not been revealed yet how Carl Thomas died on March 3, 2025. He was 82 years old. He is expected to be laid to rest in a private ceremony with close family in attendance. In the statement that was released on her socials, she said (via Fox 26):
