Development Economist Dr. George Domfeh has emphasized the need for a non-partisan approach to economic discussions, stressing that growth takes time and should not be reduced to political point-scoring.
“Nana Akufo-Addo grew the economy to 6.3% before leaving power.
“Our economy has never been robust, so I expect us to de-politicize the discussion about the economy,” he stated, urging Ghanaians to focus on long-term solutions rather than political blame games.
He further explained, “Economic development is not an event, it is a process,” highlighting the fact that no single government can single-handedly transform the economy overnight.
Dr. Domfeh made these remarks while contributing to a discussion on President John Dramani Mahama’s State of the Nation Address on TV3’s Key Points program.
