The One Piece anime has been on a break for a while, leaving the fans twiddling their thumbs, hoping that the break would help Toei make the final saga much better and more satisfying.

Toei Animation did not disappoint the fans as a glimpse of the animation was revealed at the One Piece Day event in Dallas. It was shown in the form of a new trailer for Episode 1123, but the animation quality felt like a massive upgrade, making a lot of fans eager to watch the episode soon.
A noticeable boost in animation quality
Toei Animation has faced criticism in the past when it came to its visuals; the fluctuating quality left much to be desired, but it seems they have taken the time to bring out the best output. The new trailer shows smoother character movements, a more vibrant colored setting, and better animation quality.

The trailer marks the anime’s much-anticipated return, and the fears that the fans had about Toei’s inconsistent animation have been mostly alleviated.

This means that the final saga, which will have the most anticipated battles, will not feel stiff and will have fluid animation. Same as the Wano arc, Elbaph is a very key part of the whole story, probably the most important. Any inconsistencies or stiff-looking animation could hamper the immersive experience of the fans.
Episode 1123 shows that Toei is giving its best, but we can only hope that they will have such a refined approach to future episodes as well.
Fans wait with bated breath
One Piece is an anime with one of the most loyal and widespread fanbases in the world. Now that there is an indication that it will be returning soon, the fans are going to wait with bated breath.

The amateur sleuths and One Piece fans poured over the video of the trailer to carefully observe the changes. Although it had no fight scenes and was just a normal episode, there were visible improvements. When compared to the peak visuals in Wano, the quality was similar (we have to remember Episode 1123 will not have anything substantial).

As of now, we do not have an exact release date for Episode 1123, as it has not been officially confirmed. However, the new trailer signals that the anime is going to return sooner rather than later.
With the animation looking better than ever, fans can now enjoy a higher degree of immersion and enjoyment even while watching regular banter, not just the intense and visually striking action scenes.
One Piece is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
