Shoppers race to grab air fryer that’s dupe of popular Ninja one and less than half the price

SHOPPERS could be set to bag a bargain as a dupe of Ninja’s popular double-stack air fryer is available for less than half the price.

Ninja is a household name when it comes to air fryers and its Double Stack XL 9.5L Air Fryer has earned hundreds of positive reviews.

But the Haden Stackable Air Fryer with Window 11L being sold at The Range is being touted as a dupe – and it’s a whopping £144 cheaper.

It’s currently selling for £74.99, down from £149.99.

That saves you £75, or a huge 50% off.

A customer posted their find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

“For anyone that missed out on the ninja double stack air fryer dupe from Aldi, I got the same one today from The Range on click and collect. And it was £5 cheaper too,” they said.

Other social media users commented they had bought the same air fryer in Lidl but paid more for it.

“I bought this for £90 yesterday from Lidl,” one said.

Another commented: “They had these in lidl the other day too I believe they was £89 though.”

The air fryer has a touch panel with 12 auto-cook options and a sync feature to cook two types of food simultaneously.

The Range‘s website says it is “perfect for versatile meal prep” and “the stack design and foldable control panel save valuable worktop space”.

With a double stack and a capacity of 11L, the product can cook enough food to feed up to eight to 10 people.

That can make it a great choice for meal prepping or for hosting.

Unlike most cheaper air fryers, this model includes a window so you can keep an eye on your food as it cooks.

Window features are usually seen on higher-end air fryer models.

There don’t appear to be many reviews of this particular air fryer online yet.

It is out of stock for home delivery through The Range but there is still plenty of availability through click and collect.

If you’re willing to shell out more, the Ninja Double Stack XL 9.5L Air Fryer is highly rated and is currently on sale for £219, down from £269.99.

It has six functions, which are Air Fry, Max Crisp, Roast, Bake, Dehydrate and Reheat.

The kitchen gadget includes two non-stick, dishwasher-safe 4.75L drawers and crisper plates, twin stainless steel racks and a recipe guide.

Rise of the air fryer

Air fryers have maintained their spot as the most popular kitchen gadget in the UK last year.

Annual sales figures from Lakeland show sales of air fryers were up 1,175% on last year – when they were already soaring in popularity – as households continue their efforts to save energy on standard ovens.

The retailer said: “In previous years, their popularity could be attributed to consumers seeking healthier cooking options and fast cooking times.

“However, with the cost-of-living crisis continuing, air fryers have a renewed appeal as an efficient alternative to oven cooking.”

The only other products that “shaped the year” were heated airers – with sales up 51% – and heated textiles, such as heated throws and ponchos, Lakeland said, as households bought gadgets as an alternative to expensive dryers and central and electric heaters.

What other air fryers are on the market?

Plenty of air fryers seem to be on sale at the moment so now is a good time to grab one.

Tefal’s Easy Fry 9in1 Air Fryer Oven, Grill & Rotisserie 11L is currently £79.99 at The Range, down from £219.99.

That means you can get a huge saving of £140.

The gadget has nine cooking modes and its parts are dishwasher safe.

Plus, you can get hundreds of air fryer-friendly meal ideas on the Tefal app.

Another option is the Black & Decker 11L Digital Air Fryer Oven, which comes in at a very low price of £49.99 at Robert Dyas.

It was originally £127.99, so you’re getting a massive £78 off.

Like the Haden version, it also comes with a large viewing window so you can keep an eye on your food.

It has eight pre-sets to help save time, as well as an automatic shut-off.

Reviewers on the Robert Dyas website say it is “blooming marvellous” and “amazing value for money“.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
