If phenomenal is a word, then AJ Styles is a living embodiment of it. With an iconic theme song, hard-hitting moves, and a showstopper finisher, Styles made a name for himself wherever he went. This was evident when he received one of the loudest cheers in WWE’s history as he made his debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble.

Since then, he has been making a name for himself, as he battled some of the greats of the sport like John Cena, The Undertaker, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, and so many more. In all accord, his career has been filled with ups and downs, but one thing’s constant: him being a top name in the locker room.
The 3-time US Champion is once again getting praised by the wrestling enthusiasts who notice him being in the best shape of his career. Recently, the globally acclaimed wrestler was present at the INSIGHT podcast, where he broke down the secret behind his phenomenal physique.
AJ Styles breaks down the secret behind his shape
With a career that spans nearly three decades, AJ Styles’ in-ring repertoire has been soaring high, making him the perfect star who could do it all. However, he is not done yet because even at the age of 47, he decides to push things further as he looks in the best shape of his career. Hence, a misconception has been followed among the fans because they believe that the future Hall of Famer has been bulking relentlessly.

To everyone’s surprise, that’s not the case because during the INSIGHT podcast with Chris Van Vliet, The Phenomenal One disclosed that he did not gain mass. In fact, it was quite the opposite, and fasting has been a core part of his diet as well.
He said,
Everybody thinks I bulked up. I lost weight. I was not any heavier than I was before. Fasting is a big part of my diet as well.
However, that was not just any fast, but “a three-day fast, just water… maybe a week before I came back so I was shredded.” He also mentioned that he recently did a “six-day fast” having nothing but water, which “s**ked too.” However, he did emphasize how “anything worth doing is hard.”

Styles emphasized how achieving such a physique requires a change in mindset, where one needs a change in mindset and must do challenging practices, where one just needs to take a cold plunge or go to the sauna, doing nothing but “sit there.”
While the WWE Universe has been praising the 2-time WWE Champion for his incredible mindset, it appears that Dana White has been promoting the same fasting method, which gave him an equally satisfying result.
Dana White: The Man who made water fast a trend
A few years ago, Dana White, the UFC President, was making headlines not for his controversial management decisions but for promoting an 86-hour fast where he felt like a “superhero” afterward. He set TikTok ablaze via Prevention after he talked about doing the three-and-a-half-day fast.

The video pointed out that this was a variation of the 7-day water-only fast for a “safer” approach. He explained that on the first day, a person has to drink only water, but electrolytes with no calories can be added. However, the next two days would consist of having only bone broth twice a day.
White then mentioned how he loves to share the latest fitness trends with his audience and did a fast from Saturday to Wednesday, noting that he did a “water fast.” He said,
I feel incredible and I want to tell you how I did it. I love sharing this kind of stuff with you. When I left the event on Saturday night, I started fasting so Saturday to Wednesday.
He described the health benefits, claiming how doctors back this fast, calling it “legit” and having a “70%” chance of getting lethal diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s, or any other disease that can leave a lasting impact on the body. He continued,
Doctors have done studies on this and this thing is legit. It gives you an over 70% chance of not getting cancer, Alzheimer’s, and other nasty diseases.
However, that’s not all because he mentioned how “you get absolutely shredded on this thing.” The article claimed that this fast is safe for a healthy individual, but people having medical conditions like diabetes, heart disease, low blood sugar, or other health conditions, it can be “downright dangerous.”
On one hand, this diet has N number of benefits, but medical experts also state that it isn’t medically advisable to follow this fast unless one is not afraid of being hungry and fatigued for the remainder of the fast.
WWE RAW can be streamed on Netflix.
