A MEMBER of An Garda Siochana was rushed to hospital following an incident in Dublin city centre this afternoon.
The officer received injuries, believed to be non-life-threatening, to his arm after being assaulted during a public order incident.

The assault took place on Abbey Street at around 1pm.
Gardai confirmed that a man, aged in his late 30s, was arrested at the scene.
He is being detained at a Garda Station in the Dublin city centre area.
He can be held for up to 24 hours, excluding rest periods, before being charged or released.
In a statement this afternoon, gardai confirmed that the garda welfare services have been put in place for the injured member.
A spokesperson said: “Gardai have arrested a man following a public order incident, that occurred at Abbey Street, Dublin 1, this afternoon, Saturday 8th March 2025, at approximately 1pm.
“During the course of the incident, a member of An Garda Siochana received injuries to his arm, believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
“He was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment.
“A man, aged in his late 30s, was arrested at the scene, and is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Dublin City Centre area.
“Garda welfare services will be put in place for the Garda member.
“Investigations ongoing.”
