Everyone Forgets Naruto’s Might Guy VA Played a Major Role in One Piece Wano Arc

Naruto proved that ninjas can be flamboyant and ace it. Might Guy is one such character who lived up to his philosophy of the springtime of youth. He may not be as cool as Kakashi but he’s got a drip of his own. We need to thank the voice actor behind it who played a pivotal role in Oda’s series.

Although brief, the VA voiced one of the major characters in the Wano Country Arc. His role in the series proves why he is a commendable voice actor. But most of all, the arc itself stands legendary and symbolic in more ways than one.

Naruto VA’s stint in One Piece

To say Might Guy is one of the coolest characters in Naruto would be a gross understatement. He may not have the overhyped Sharingan or Kakashi’s overly detached persona, but he knows how to make an impression. Like his father, he proved his finesse and flair in Taijutsu.

We have some mad respect for the character, for he went toe to toe against Madara and knocked him out eventually. That too in Sage of Six Paths mode, which is commendable in many aspects. But the character deserves all the more praise for his feats in the series.

His fight with Kisame is yet another example of him showcasing his combat prowess. The character proved that you do not need a fancy schmancy chakra cloak or an overpowered Dojutsu to defeat an enemy. But what raised the bar was the voice actor’s performance, which was lauded in the Wano arc as well.

In particular, Masashi Ebara voiced Raizo’s character in the Wano Country Arc, which needs more appreciation. The ninja is both a retainer of the Oden family and a member of Nine Red Scabbards. Though he may look drab and dull, he is far more daunting.

In other words, his devil fruit Maki Maki no Mi allows him to summon scrolls. Quite an interesting feat isn’t it? But that is not all considering his ability to absorb enemies’ attacks as seen in his fight against Kaido. This only proves why the Wano Arc is symbolic and well-done in the series.

Wano Arc remains symbolic in every sense

While most fans hail Toei for their animation during Wano Arc, it is symbolic and meaningful for the most part. Luffy’s win marked the end of tyranny for the people in Wano. It was indeed quite satisfying to see Kaido’s defeat at the hands of the Straw Hat captain, but the side characters stole the show as well.

Nami’s fight with Ulti is one such case that would shut the haters up for good. She is often disregarded as being weak, yet she proved herself capable in this fight. By no means was the fight a cakewalk, which also goes for Robin. Her duel with Black Maria was on a whole other level.

It was all about leveling up and standing firm in your beliefs. The moments of courage, righteousness, and justice were amped up in the arc. Raizo’s role as a loyal and wise ninja also comes into play during the adversities. His belief in Straw Hats and his allyship proved fruitful for Wano’s future.

All in all, Masashi Ebara’s role as Raizo proves his versatility as a voice actor. He brought out those intricacies to life with his finesse and brilliance. But overall, both characters and the premise makes the Wano Arc a masterpiece in every way.

Naruto and One Piece are available for streaming on Crunchyroll. The manga is available for reading on Shueisha’s Manga Plus app.
