‘One Punch Man’ Is Digging Its Own Grave by Hiding the Most Important Detail About Season 3

One Punch Man is one of those unforgettable anime that fans just can’t get enough of. Coincidentally, it is also one of those anime that the studio just can’t provide enough of. After airing its second season in Spring 2019, the series went on a hiatus so long that fans had to almost give up on their dreams and hopes.

But finally, after six excruciating years, the series is back to reveal the release date of One Punch Man Season 3. The term ‘joyous’ is an understatement for the occasion, as fans can hardly believe their eyes and ears anymore. But as always, a small hitch has occurred.

One Punch Man Season 3 will be back to bless fans in 2025

Prepare to behold the anime that is bound to steal the spotlight! After six long years of silence, the creators behind One Punch Man have revealed too much at once. One Punch Man Season 3 is all set to premiere in October 2025, though a more specific date will be announced later.

Nonetheless, the announcement does not come empty-handed. Like a gift that keeps giving, a new promotional video has also been revealed for the anime. And it’s everything that fans ever wanted and more. The teaser highlights the main players for One Punch Man Season 3.

And for once, Saitama seems to be actually pissed off because a villain hasn’t targeted him yet. In classic OPM humor, he thinks it’s because he is a caped baldy, but nonetheless departs to punch Garou and settle the score. The most epic fight of the century is now scheduled for Autumn 2025.

The One Punch Man Season 3 staff seems to have a key member missing

One Punch Man Season 3 has revealed its key staff members. Tomohiro Suzuki is reprising his role for series composition. Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, and Ryosuke Shirakawa will be responsible for the character designs. Makoto Miyazaki will create the musical scores for the anime.

However, the director of the upcoming season has not been revealed yet, despite it being a crucial position. Chikashi Kubota was personally interviewed last year by a YouTuber about whether the production of Season 3 was going smoothly. According to Kubota:

I can’t really say anything, but there might be some problems.

-Chikashi Kubota

No one has any idea if the problems Kubota referred to are major or minor. In fact, they could have been addressed already. But as the director of One Punch Man Season 3 hasn’t been revealed yet, it is natural to suspect Kubota might have been referring to this issue.

But nothing has been confirmed by Studio J.C. Staff and it is possible that the director will just be revealed later. The first season of One Punch Man was directed by Shingo Natsume and the second season was under Chikara Sakurai. Will the third season undergo another change? One can only speculate for now.

One Punch Man anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
