JAGUAR has unveiled its 986bhp electric super-GT, promising 160mph and a radical new era for the luxury brand.
The GT will be followed by a luxury sedan and SUV, with the all-electric four-door GT launching in 2026.

Jaguar’s CEO, Rawdon Glover, revealed that the GT is already undergoing extensive testing on public roads, at Jaguar Land Rover’s Gaydon proving ground, and even in the Arctic Circle.
He said: “People will not be disappointed.”
The prototype has been designed with aerodynamic performance and crash testing at the forefront, to achieve a range of up to 430 miles in its most efficient configuration.
The GT is expected to play a pivotal role in Jaguar’s new direction as it fully embraces the electric vehicle market.
Speaking about the vehicle’s design, Glover emphasised that the GT would reflect the dynamic heritage of the brand while embracing a radical, new aesthetic.
He shared that the car’s sharp styling, previewed by the Type 00 concept, would be maintained in the final production model.
“We’ve got some incredibly talented engineers who took on that challenge,” Glover assured, highlighting a strong lineage between the concept and the GT.
Jaguar’s decision to only build full electric vehicles (EVs) going forward is steadfast.
The GT will be the first of several models to launch under the brand’s dedicated Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), with no plans for hybrid models in the future.
Glover stressed that the brand had made a firm commitment to electric vehicles in 2021, and this is the future of Jaguar.
Inside, the GT will focus on creating a driver-friendly experience without overwhelming users with unnecessary technology. Glover explained: “Most importantly, it’s got to be an amazing place to be in.
“The technology is there when you need it.”
The interior will prioritise craftsmanship and design, reminiscent of luxury watchmaking, rather than an overabundance of high-tech features.
Despite other automakers like Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Volvo reconsidering their electric future, Jaguar remains committed to EVs, with all new models expected to come with the JEA platform.
With a starting price expected around £100,000, the new GT is set to redefine Jaguar’s position in the luxury car market as it begins its electric journey.
Pictures of the Jaguar super-GT EV have yet to be released.
