Minority in Parliament have expressed worry over the failure of the majority in Parliament to marshal their numbers for parliamentary work.
Parliament was adjourned today after they could not form a quorum for parliamentary business.
Addressing the press, Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Prof. Kingsley Nyarko, slammed the majority for their inability to marshal their people.
He explained that this is not the first time this is happening, adding that it is a worry for Ghana’s democracy and emphasized the need for the majority to take the people of Ghana seriously.
We need one-third of the house to commence business. We come to the house to work because the people of Ghana voted for us to come and work. The NDC claims they are the super majority in Parliament, but they cannot marshal their members to do business. What happened today is embarrassing,” he emphasized
We tell our friends from the NDC side to take Ghanaians seriously and to take their work seriously. If this thing continues and goes unchecked, it is not going to advance this country.” Prof. Kingsley Nyarko said while addressing the press in Parliament.
