I spent 7 years getting a law degree but jacked it in to make the same £1.4K salary a month in two hours from my bedroom

AN EX-LAW teacher has revealed how she packed it all in for a new job that she can do from home without the stress.

Lucy-Leigh, 37, revealed she ditched the gruelling 9-5 to work as a cam girl from home and can now earn her old weekly salary in just a couple of hours.

The Lincolnshire-based mum, who considers herself very ‘traditional,’ revealed she now gets to spend more time with her children without compromising her salary – something her boyfriend, Chris, supports.

Four years ago, Lucy was scrolling through TikTok when she discovered a cam girl website called Adult work.

At the time, she was working long hours teaching A-level students law for very little pay and was unable to spend time with her three teenage kids.

She revealed she was constantly ‘burnt out’ and was left spending most of her time ‘counting the pennies.’

Deciding she had enough, Lucy signed up to be a cam girl and was stunned when she made her weekly salary of £1,400 in just a couple of hours in the comfort of her bedroom.

Speaking to the MailOnline, Lucy said: “I was very traditional. I was walking around in business suits, trying to be a normal member of society. I didn’t really think it was something that would work for me, but I took the plunge.

“This day and age in 2025, women are sexualised regardless. We don’t have a choice on that matter. Men are doing that regardless. So doing it this way, it gives us control of what we do want, and don’t want to deliver.

“I’m not letting anybody down. I’m not annoying a boss. I’m not really affecting my pay because I’ve got the option to pick up hours elsewhere.

“The beautiful thing about it is that models are in control of their earnings.

“It’s not a lottery, it’s not a roulette. The more hours you put in, the more money you will earn.”

Lucy revealed she now has the freedom to spend time with her family whenever she wants.

She also revealed that while she doesn’t live a ‘lavish’ lifestyle, she now is able to treat herself and her family without worrying about the consequences.

The family has regular weekends away, family days out and the latest iPhones and if she fancies booking a holiday, she simply has to log on as a cam girl for a couple of hours to do it.

It’s a far cry from when Lucy was planning to become a solicitor who was juggling motherhood, university and working at Nandos at the age of 20.

The mum spent seven years in total training to make it into the world of law.

After finishing her law degree, she did a postgraduate teaching qualification and taught A-level law and criminology and psychology, and worked as an examiner.

Lucy would get her own kids ready for school before heading to work at 9 and coming back at 5:30.

But her working day wasn’t over as she would spend around three hours a night marking work.

She said that after tax, she was earning a set salary of £1,400 a month, which didn’t go far when taking care of three children.

After the success of cam girling, Lucy went on to set up her own cam girl agency, Doxy Models, and nowadays tends to give more of a ‘girlfriend’ experience to clients, which she described as wearing cute clothes or gym gear and chatting together – rather than X-rated alternatives.

Now, the mum-of-three says she can earn between £500 and £700 a week for doing far fewer hours – and estimates she could earn around £6,000 a month doing the same hours as during her teaching career.

Not only has her new job given her financial freedom, she says it’s also boosted her confidence.

She explained: “‘They’re in control of their own hours, their own earnings. It’s very empowering for women to be able to have that. It gives a lot of self love. It’s an opportunity to grow like to really appreciate who you are.

“If you’re stressed and burnt out in your career. There is another way, and I know it’s not for everybody.”
