IRELAND AM star Muireann O’Connell has taken a break from her hosting duties to go on a romantic trip with her rarely-seen fiance.
The Limerick native has been in a ten-year-long relationship with her partner, Philip, who she affectionately refers to as her “housemate”.
The pair got engaged back in 2021 but have stated they are in no rush to tie the knot anytime soon.
The happy couple have always kept their relationship out of the public eye and Muireann is yet to post a picture of Philip on social media.
Yesterday, Muireann and Philip decided to take a trip to West Cork‘s Inchydoney Hotel for a relaxing getaway.
As the pair arrived at the hotel, they were kindly greeted with skincare goodie bags and even a platter of chocolates.
The 41-year-old and her partner then made their way down to the spa lounge where they were treated to a facial and hair treatment.
The popular presenter humorously posted a clip of herself after the session with a clay mask in her hair.
She jokingly captioned the video: “I’ve gone for a new hairdo, again!”
After a serene evening of winding down at the spa, the couple made their way back to their fantastic hotel room for a snooze.
This morning, Muireann raved about her sleep as she snapped a picture of the room and wrote: “You know when you have such a good sleep that you wake up feeling a bit drunk?”.
“Just glorious.”
The TV star and her fiancé started their second day with a windy stroll along the magnificent Inchydoney beach.
Muireann shared a snippet of the pair walking along the calming coast, telling followers: “I was only just saying how much I needed to get to the beach.”
She sarcastically remarked: “Now, I did think I’d be in a bikini, but… there’s nothing like wearing 75 layers.”
The Virgin Media host then panned the camera over to her fiance, but made sure to keep his face out of view.
‘COMPLETE NERD’
The happy couple were all bundled up in hats, scarves and warm puffer coats to brave the gusty beachfront.
Muireann gushed over the stunning location as she continued to walk along, calling it “beautiful and glorious.”
Later, the Irish star even managed to squeeze in a gym session during her trip.
Muireann snapped a picture of herself in the hotel gym and captioned it: “Not only am I a complete nerd for going to the gym on holiday, but I forgot my headphones.
“So I’m wearing the massive sleep headband yoke.”
