WWE has been known to be the ultimate creation of former CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon. It turned from a regional promotion into a global juggernaut under the leadership of McMahon. The company took a drastic turn when Vince sold the company to Endeavor, which merged it with UFC to form the new parent company, TKO Group Holdings.
However, McMahon exited the company following allegations by former WWE employee Janel Grant of s*x trafficking and s*xual misconduct. Without McMahon, the company has been thriving under the leadership of Triple H and Nick Khan.
Furthermore, it was recently announced that TKO was partnering with a company from Saudi Arabia, Sela, and Saudi Chairman of General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh. This new partnership will see both sides form a new boxing promotion which is yet to be named. Moreover, Alalshikh had some praise comments about Vince which raised speculations about his involvement with the venture.
Is Vince McMahon going to become a part of the new boxing promotion led by TKO?
In the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer discussed Turki Alalshikh’s comments about Vince McMahon that ignted a conversation all together.
While he was aware of the speculation of Vince’s involvement in the new boxing promotion after those comments, he believed that Vince would still remain away from wrestling, but can come in for the boxing promotion.
I’ve seen speculation already about Vince McMahon being back in the game. I don’t know … Vince does want to promote outside entertainment. Not professional wrestling, cause he knows he can’t go against WWE … I don’t know, entertainment, maybe boxing. Maybe they’ll get Vince into the boxing thing. That way it’s not the wrestling. I don’t know.
Meltzer also added that the fact that it was Vince who was the one to bring in UFC as part of WWE, leading to the formation of TKO. While he said that McMahon is not of part of the new venture as of now, but he was instrumental in bringing all top personnel together who are revolutionizing the business of professional sports.
Vince was the conduit who brought, essentially brought Dana White and Turki together. And, you know, Nick Khan and everyone. So there you go. I mean he’s … not part of this now, but he’s the key guy in the background of bringing these guys together.

Vince McMahon has been rumored to start his own entertainment company, according to various reports. Moreover, he was unceremoniously let go from TKO after the Janel Grant accusations. So it seems unlikely that he would be involved in their current and forthcoming ventures, so Triple H and Nick Khan’s empire can move forward without any stress of him resurfacing.

Vince McMahon still finds himself under the eye of the law for allegations made by Janel Grant against him and former WWE EVP John Laurinitus for charges of s*xual misconduct. A top WWE superstar was also linked to the case whom McMahon offered to when he was trying to re-sign them in 2021.
At the start of 2025, the superstar was officially named Brock Lesnar after being rumored for a long while. This has been the reason for his absence from WWE television programming since the 2023 SummerSlam event, where he wrestled the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.
Vince McMahon, on the other hand, severed all ties with WWE in 2024 and even sold the last remaining portion of his stock of TKO shares. While he has no association with them as of now, it remains to be seen if McMahon will return to work with them in some capacity. If the rumors are to be believed, it could be a part of this upcoming boxing promotion.
