A MUCH loved Indian restaurant has announced it will be closing down after decades of service.

The restaurant has been a part of the area for the past 27 years.
But the current owners have decided it is time to move on.
They announced on social media that Bombay Spice would be closing down permanently.
Although they reassured punters that a new set of staff will soon be moving into the business.
In a post on their Facebook page, they thanked punters for coming to dine at their business over the years.
It read: “After 27 wonderful years, we regret to announce that we will be closing permanently.
“However, we are excited to share that a new team will be taking over soon.
“Thank you for your incredible support throughout the years.”
And locals were left gutted by the news.
One person said: “Thanks for many lovely, tasty meals and your bouncy smiles.
“We will be bereft.”
Another wrote: “No!!!!! I wish you luck and also I hope the new staff are as wonderful as you guys.”
It comes as we told how the “Curry King”of Glasgow delighted food fans by announcing he will be opening a new restaurant.
Raj Bajwe MBE, who worked as general manager at popular curry houses such as Café India Creme de la Creme and Spice Garden, is opening up a brand new venue.
At his previous restaurants, he served huge stars such as Billy Connolly, Michael Jackson, Sean Connery, Keanu Reeves, Mel Gibson and Elton John.
Raj now runs Murphy’s Pakora Bar in Glasgow, which has five stars on Tripadvisor with over 1,700 reviews.
Priscilla Presley and James McAvoy were the latest celebs to visit the top-rated spot.
