The wrestling world has been abuzz ever since the iconic heel turn of John Cena at the Elimination Chamber. With the announcement coming before that Cena will be stepping down from the ring at the end of 2025, the heel turn opened up a multiverse of possibilities and all of them can be equally astonishing.
It has been 23 years since John Cena has stepped in this ring and he has been WWE’s dearest babyface. Being the poster boy for the company for more than a decade and a half, the fans were shocked to the core when the Leader of Cenation attacked Cody Rhodes on the signal of The Rock.

With the WrestleMania 41 coming up, Cena is now entangled with two icons of the industry, the American Nightmare and Dwayne Johnson. He will also have his eyes on the 17th WWE title which might see him become the numero uno in terms of the WWE championship count, leaving behind Ric Flair.
Will WrestleMania 41 witness the reemergence of other icons to confront John Cena?

As the hype about John Cena’s flip to the dark side is running riot, in the meanwhile, another icon from the industry, Stone Cold Steve Austin has dropped an explosive remark about what might actually happen in the forthcoming days. After his latest statement just ahead of the Showcase of Immortals, the fans have reason to believe that WWE might be pulling the strings with the Texas Rattlesnake.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Schmo podcast, Stone Cold Steve Austin reacted to the heel turn of John Cena. He initially pointed out that the storyline needs to go deeper to fathom whether the fans who have been the Cena hardliners until now, will accept him as a heel or not.
Stone Cold also heaped praises on the company for carving an epic road to WrestleMania with this astonishing flip. He was vocal about the fact that since the Show of Shows is slated to unfurl in Las Vegas this year, it is only going to enhance the stature of the PLE. When asked whether he might be aligning with Cody Rhodes at Mania, he revealed that he is yet to have any contact but then very casually dropped in a massive remark, stating that anything is possible.
“I haven’t been in contact with anybody, so I guess anthing could happen! But I’m here to run the Mint 400 and that’s what my sights are set on, I’m not looking to the Mania, I’m looking to Mint 400.”
Despite being two of the finest that the industry has ever produced, John Cena and Stone Cold have never been on a prolonged collision course. However, the presence of The Rock makes the appearance of SCSA a lot more plausible. The Texas Rattlesnake has duked it out emphatically against Dwayne Johnson, defining the Attitude Era while also penning history in three iterations of WrestleMania. If Austin does return, more than John Cena and Cody Rhodes, the clash of these two titans may be rekindled, thereby sparking a monumental pop from the fans.
For the unversed, as Austin talked about the Mint 400, it is one of the most illustrious off-road race which is held near Las Vegas. The latest edition of this racing extravaganza has already kicked off on March 5th and will span until 9th March.
Which other superstars can be a part of the John Cena-Cody Rhodes rivalry at WrestleMania 41?

It isn’t just Stone Cold Steve Austin, however, who might be a part of this rivalry as a superstar. CM Punk recently dropped a massive promo where he called The Rock a ‘bald fraud’ after losing out on a chance to win the Elimination Chamber match. Ahead of dishing out a verbal masterclass against Seth Rollins, he ensured that The Rock was also being dragged into it, thereby opening up a glint of opportunity for him to be a part of this battle as well.
Earlier in 2013, CM Punk’s “Your arms are just too short to box with God” broke the internet. Despite losing his title to the People’s Champion, Punk squeezed himself out in the battle. His latest promo against The Rock has left the fans excited about his appearance and what possible storyline might be written.
With too many superstars being named already, it goes without saying that something massive is being cooked. Whether Cody Rhodes will be able to defend his title against John Cena will remain a mystery, but whatever happens, it is an overall development with the big names in the mix that has riveted the audience until now.
