A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, has expressed worry over the lack of unity in Ghana after 68 years of independence.
He is of the view that the country is in a sorry state because the love of party is put before the love for country.
Chairman Coka was speaking on the decision by the government to sack Ghanaians who were employed just after December 7, 2024 because they are believed to be members of the opposition New Patriotic Party.
Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, who is known popularly as Chairman Coka, made this known in a post via social media.
To him, it is about time Ghanaians do not lose their jobs just because another political party is in power and the love for country is put first before love for party.
“Ghana is 68 years old, yet when governments change, some Ghanaian workers’ appointments are terminated because our love for political parties is greater than our love for our country, Ghana. 68 years after independence, and we are still not united. Rest well, forefathers of our country. May we always remember Ghana in our prayers. Coka, I care.”
