Member of Parliament for Sunyani West, Millicent Amankwah, is in the trends on social media for struggling to express herself fluently.
During the debate on the State of the Nation Address by President John Dramani Mahama, Millicent Amankwah, who is a first-time Member of Parliament, sought to berate the minority side for complaining, especially about the termination of appointments of Ghanaians who were employed after December 4, 2024.
In explaining herself, she struggled to piece her thoughts together.
Her words were “collapsed banks and people was unemployed, you cannot today say that even Mr Speaker with the termination…Yesterday I am so surprised my respectable colleague, he made mention that he couldn’t hear that His Excellency John Dramani Mahama spoke about Job creation and incentives and initiatives.
A video of her expressing her position in Parliament has since gone viral on various social media platforms, with members of the New Patriotic Party indicating that the former Information Minister was right when she said the NDC is struggling in Parliament even though they have the numbers
