TESCO has discontinued an everyday fridge staple in all stores, leaving shoppers baffled.

The superstore was forced to apologise to customers after the cease of the product.

A Tesco spokesperson previously said the product was axed to ‘reduce wastage’

Tesco axed its British Whole Milk 3.408L (6 Pints) in 2023, but customers are still questioning its disappearance.

One person, who posted to X, formerly known as Twitter said: “Can I ask @Tesco why you don’t sell the six pints of milk anymore…… certainly not home delivery.

“Are you scamming us again?”

A Tesco spokesperson, responding to the post, commented: “Good afternoon, thanks for getting in touch.

“Tesco British Whole Milk 3.408L, 6 Pints has been discontinued.

“I’m sorry for any disappointment.”

Tesco has been approached for a comment.

At the time of the axing in 2023, shoppers said: “Tesco has discontinued six-pint bottles so it can milk more money from customers with smaller cartons.”

Meanwhile another customer said: “Any idea why six pints of milk never seem available for online orders.

“Also why were they removed from the Extra stores?

“I buy lots of milk, but it’s annoying having to pay more by purchasing four-pint bottles.”

And a third chimed in: “Tesco is no longer selling six pints of milk.

“So it’s Aldi from now on.”

Tesco is the biggest supermarket chain in the UK and the fourth cheapest behind Aldi, Lidl and Asda.

A Tesco spokesperson previously told The Sun: “We are phasing out six-pint bottles to reduce wastage.

“Our four-pint bottles provide the same great value per pint — especially as we have reduced milk prices twice in recent weeks.”
