The cult Scottish group, who first formed back in 1996, will perform for the first time since their split in 2004.
The band will take to the stage at the iconic Barrowland Ballroom on September 25 as part of a long-awaited reunion tour.
Frontman and one of its founding members Steven Mason will be joined by bassist Richard Greentree, keyboard wizard John MacLean, and drummer Robin Jones.
The rockers are famed for their unique sound, blending genres of folk, psychedelia, electronica and more.
Their tunes have been featured in movies like High Fidelity and It’s All Gone Pete Tong.
Fans will be treated to an unforgettable setlist, which includes tracks from their much-loved compilation album The Three E.P.’s, as well as plenty of “other classics”.
The Glasgow date kicks off a UK tour, with stops in Leeds, Bristol, Nottingham, Manchester, and London, before the band heads across the pond for a North American stint.
A statement from the band said: “The Beta Band, as everyone knows, is an institution, like Bedlam, or the RSPCA, and as such has its own indelible stain on the bedsheet of Western culture.
“It was the great John Noakes who said ‘you have to shake it out at least once every couple of decades, if you want to know what the moths did’.
“So with both those facts in mind, we realise the time has come to show the wall the Luminol, kill the lights and hit the UV.”
And to celebrate their reunion, the band are also releasing a deluxe double vinyl issue of The Three E.P.’s on July 11.
Presale tickets for the tour go live on March 5 at 10am, with general sale following on March 7 at 10am.
