Ryan Seacrest Says He Is ‘Feeling Pain’ After Breakdancing on ‘Wheel of Fortune’: ‘Embarrassing’

After busting out some unexpected breakdancing moves on Wheel of Fortune, Ryan Seacrest admitted that his body was a bit sore.

In a recent clip shared on Wheel of Fortune’s Instagram page, Ryan, 50, recalled the moment he decided to spontaneously start breakdancing on the game show.

“Embarrassingly, a few weeks ago, a while back, I showed off my breakdancing lack of skills,” the American Idol host told Vanna White in the video.

A clip then played featuring Ryan rolling on the floor and attempting to breakdance on the Wheel of Fortune stage as the audience applauded. He pulled off an impressive spin on his behind, causing several people to gasp.

After the segment aired, a fan wrote to Ryan, asking if he had to “take a couple of aspirins after that move.”

“I think it was more than a couple and I’m still feeling the pain right now. But thank you for your concern and asking,” Ryan responded in the new video.

Vanna, 68, patted her costar on the shoulder as he thanked fans for their concern after the sporadic dancing segment.

The caption of the post also poked fun at Ryan’s dancing. “Thanks to this honestly unscripted moment, we now keep aspirin on set! #breakdancing #WheelOfFortune,” the caption said.

Fans were absolutely loving seeing this playful side of Ryan on the show, praising him for letting loose.

“He did pretty good for a 50 year young man! Give him credit for having a great attitude,” one person commented underneath the video on Instagram.

“I don’t believe their [sic] is anything he want do. Just glad he was able to get up. Bless it,” another said.

Ryan’s comments on the dancing segment came just a few weeks after he was knocked to the ground while celebrating with a contestant on Wheel of Fortune.

When contestant Daniel Thomas correctly guessed the phrase in the bonus round, Ryan pulled him in for a hug to celebrate him adding $40,000 more to his prize pot.

They started jumping up and down but Ryan was knocked off his feet and sent crashing to the floor. He then got up back on his feet and told everyone that he was fine.

“Daniel, easy on our host but celebrate with $40,000,” the Wheel of Fortune announcer said after the incident.

Ryan then joked that Vanna would “have to take over” the show as he playfully winced in pain.

While it seems to be all fun and games on Wheel of Fortune for Ryan, insiders told Closer that Ryan was “under pressure” to keep the ratings up.

“Ryan’s under enormous pressure from day one to deliver on the massive salary they’re paying him, not to mention the huge money they invested by giving Vanna her big raise. If the ratings don’t come back up, Ryan will be the one they blame, no question about it,” an insider previously told Closer in August 2024.

So far, Ryan’s been doing an incredible job of keeping Pat Sajak’s legacy alive, bringing in the show’s largest premiere week audience in five years during his September 2024 debut.
