A LOVESTRUCK prison officer who performed a sex act on an inmate and referred to herself as his “queen” has been jailed.

The mum boasted to a colleague she had performed a sex act on the con and spoke with him almost 140 times on a smuggled phone.
Evans also called herself “your queen” while chatting to Brownley and on one occasion, phoned him 39 times in one day.
She sobbed as she was jailed for 21 months after admitting misconduct in a public office.
Judge Jeremy Richardson KC told her she had “betrayed the trust” placed in her as a prison officer.
He added: “There must be a prison sentence. Corrupt prison officers must be punished. There is no question about that.
“The public expects punishment for those who betray trust in the way that you did.
“It is truly a terrible situation for a judge to be passing sentence on a former prison officer, who has been branded a corrupt prison officer, but it must be done.”
Sheffield Crown Court heard Evans carried out the illicit relationship between March and November 2020 after starting at the Category B prison aged 21.
During the fling, she bragged about collecting £1,000 in respect of cannabis deals on behalf of Brownley.
Evans also shared confidential prison information with the burglar, who was serving a five-and-a-half year sentence.
In mitigation, defence barrister Edward Moss saidEvans was “immature and vulnerable” at the time and had been manipulated by Brownley.
Judge Richardson said the sentence of 21 months should have been longer.
However in an “an act of mercy”, he reduced it to take into account the effect it would have on Evans’ relationship with her young daughter.
The judge said: “You were manipulated by a serious criminal to assist him. Your misconduct materially affected the good order and discipline of the prison.
“You not only had some form of sexual intimacy with the prisoner but you also assisted him in his conduct within the prison in terms of handling money for him and sharing prison information about him, with him.”
