The theme park is located less than an hour from Dublin, making it a great spot for a day-trip.

With tons of activities to do, it’s the perfect place to visit as Ireland gets its first taste of spring weather – and it’s even open all year round.

This fantastic spot’s most popular part is the indoor waterpark, which features loads of thrilling slides and pools that cater to all age levels.

It reads on Funtasia’s website: “Experience over 200 water-based activities for the whole family.”

“Conquer thrilling slides like the Boomerang and Super Bowl, or explore Pirate’s Cove—just beware of the giant pirate’s head that dunks 500 litres of water on those below.”

One of the main attractions is the super bowl slide.

This thrilling ride is known to be one of the largest indoor water slides in Ireland – and its swirling, high speed is a must-try for all adrenaline junkies.

What’s more, the waterpark has lots of different rides specifically for children.

This includes the pirate-themed play area along with tipping buckets, water cannons and small slides – making it the perfect place to bring your children over spring.

And there is also a dedicated area for toddlers that features shallow pools and gentle slides.

For those who prefer staying dry, Funtasia has a wide range of other activities.

The crazy golf course is another must-do when visiting Funtasia, and it features plenty of courses, and games along the way.

Tons of different activities

For those feeling even more adventurous, there’s even a climbing wall in the park – and it’s one of the largest in Ireland.

Here visitors are harnessed to take on the 60-foot skyclimb, which involves soaring on twin ziplines and ringing a bell at the top of the wall.

The park is also home to a bowling alley, and there’s a laser tag area with a multi-level arena that offers hiding spots.

Animal lovers will love the petting zoo, which houses a variety of friendly animals that visitors can see.

For those wanting to relax, there are plenty of seating areas and places to grab a bite to eat.

The on-site restaurant serves a variety of meals and snacks, and the park features tons of kiosks that sell ice cream, popcorn and other treats.

For the waterpark, admission is €19.50 per person and there is a €2 discount for carers and individuals with disabilities.

What’s more, children 2 & under go free – and it is open all of Paddy’s Weekend, March 15-17.

Visitors to the theme park have taken to Tripadvisor to talk about their trip.

One person said: “Good place, nice food, fun and varied games.”

Another wrote: “Came here for my daughter’s birthday, we all had the best time.”
