SACKED former Rangers boss Philippe Clement looks set to lose out on a new job.
That’s because his former ASSISTANT MANAGER is in line to be appointed instead.

Belgian Clement was axed at Ibrox last month.
He was dismissed after a dire defeat to St Mirren that came just a fortnight after a disastrous Scottish Cup exit at home to Queen’s Park.
He was reportedly on the shortlist for a quickfire return to management in his homeland.
Royal Antwerp sacked Jonas De Roeck as boss despite securing a top six finish ahead of the play-offs.
But Antwerp have opted to ignore Clement and will turn to one of his Rangers assistants instead.
Andries Ulderink is the man now in line to get the job.
Ulderink was No2 at Antwerp previously to Mark van Bommel and linked up with Clement at Ibrox in June.
However, he left the club in January and returned to his home in the Netherlands due to a ‘family situation.’
Ulderink was replaced at Rangers by Issam Charai, who remains at Ibrox in Barry Ferguson’s coaching staff.
It’s Ulderink who looks set to return to management with Antwerp, leaving Clement without a job.
Rangers turned to former captain Ferguson after dismissing Clement.
The 47-year old won his first game in charge, a 4-2 comeback win at Kilmarnock, before suffering a 2-1 defeat to Motherwell at Ibrox on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a deal for Rangers to be taken over be US investors as been AGREED in principle.
An American consortium led by Paraag Marathe, the chief of 49ers Enterprises, and health insurance tycoon Andrew Cavenagh are fronting the deal.
