After seeing Dave and Lauren’s rocky start and love triangle drama in the pods, fans of Love Is Blind might be skeptical about whether the couple are strong enough to make it down the aisle.
31-year-old Lauren O’Brien and 33-year-old Dave Bettenburg had a somewhat awkward first introduction but soon found common ground when they discussed their family goals. However, Lauren later learns she’s part of a love triangle when another woman from the pods, Molly, is gushing about her connection with the medical device salesman.
Dave eventually ends things with Molly and proposes to Lauren, who works in educational sales. On their vacation, their bond grows but things get more complicated when they return home to Minnesota.
Dave become one of this season’s villains after his reaction to learning that Lauren was dating someone in his social circle before entering the experiment. Lauren and her friends insist it was casual but his friends claim otherwise. In this season’s latest cliffhanger, Dave is left unsure of what to believe while Lauren feels frustrated about having to defend her character.

Are Love Is Blind’s Lauren & Dave Still Together?
Lauren and Dave broke up during the filming for Love Is Blind season 8.
After arguing over Lauren’s dating life before they met in the pods, Lauren goes weary of having to explain herself and tells him, “I don’t know how much longer I can keep doing this.”
“This is something that you need to work through,” she tells Dave. “You’re not ready to choose someone else and be a team member.” The two then decide to end their relationship.
After getting backlash for his reaction online, Dave told People that he would have “been okay with that whole situation” if the show were only “an experiment to find somebody to date, find somebody that you connect with and you just want to date for a while and then see if it works.” However, he didn’t feel ready to commit to marriage given the circumstance.
“I got to the point where I was like, I’m not going to force my best friends and family members to come watch me say no at the altar when I knew that was going to be my answer based off of the information I had at that time,” he explained.
