Aldi’s Ballycastle Stout Flavour Country Cream is priced at £7.99 a bottle.
It boasts a “luxuriously smooth, creamy texture with prominent malt notes balanced by the subtle sweetness of Irish cream”, the retailer revealed.
As a limited-edition product, it’s only available while stocks last.
The retailer added: “It’s a sophisticated sip that’s perfect for after-dinner indulgence or mixing into a celebratory cocktail.”
Aldi also provides instructions on how to make a Ballycastle Stout Espresso Martini for two on its website.
Simply pour 100ml of boiling water over two heaped teaspoons of Alcafé Gold Roast Freeze Dried Coffee and allow to cool.
Then, fill half of a cocktail shaker with ice.
Proceed by adding the coffee, 150ml of Ballycastle Stout Flavour Country Cream and 100ml of Saint Germont Premium French Vanilla Vodka to the shaker.
After a good shake, strain into two large chilled martini glasses.
Then allow it to settle and decorate with a couple of coffee beans.
Aldi also provides a recipe for a Ballycastle and Dark Chocolate Mousse.
It comes after the bargain supermarket chain announced a new winter-themed alcoholic drink in October 2024.
Shoppers took to social media to rave about the product.
The limited-edition Ballycastle S’mores Country Cream was available for purchase in their stores for £7.49.
The 70cl drink combined rich chocolate and biscuit flavours, with hints of vanilla and fluffy marshmallow.
Aldi added: “This nostalgic tipple is guaranteed to ignite shoppers’ tastebuds – just simply enjoy neat over ice or enjoy as part of an indulgent s’mores-tail.”
Alcohol fans have been raving about the new drink online, with one savvy shopper uploading a photo showcasing the new product to the Shopping Finds & Bargains UK Facebook group.
The post received many likes and comments from fellow Aldi shoppers eager to get their hands on the Ballycastle S’mores Country Cream.
“Oh the new one I might try it,” wrote one user.
Another commented: “Would make a lovely Christmas present some might say?”
“We need this!” said a third.
While a fourth user added: “On the shopping list.”
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
