IT’s a special day for Barry Ferguson as he made his Ibrox dugout bow against Motherwell.
And to make things even more memorable for the Light Blues legend, there were some VIP guests watching the game from the stands.

Over 150 armed service personnel are at Ibrox this afternoon as part of the club’s annual Armed Forces Day celebrations.
Celebrations began outside the stadium from 12 noon and continued right up until kick-off and at half-time as well as full-time.
This will include pre-match and half-time entertainment from the Pipes and Drums of the Royal Corps of Signals.
The brave troops were welcomed into Ibrox early doors today ahead of kick-off at 3pm and were given the chance to meet Gers chiefs Fraser Thornton and Patrick Stewart as well as other key Gers personnel – including interim boss Ferguson.
It’s tradition for the Rangers manager to meet the serving members of the Army, RAF and Royal Navy during the annual celebrations.
Each year they will pose for a picture with the Ibrox gaffer and this time was no different.
Ferguson, 47, was given a hero’s welcome by the troops when he joined them alongside the club’s chairman and CEO plus other members of staff in the stands for a picture.
The Gers legend was serenaded with a tune he knows all too well as they chanted “oh Barry, Barry!” while he made his way over to them.
Ferguson quickly chimed in with a cheeky quip in response to their chants.
He laughed: “I hope you’re still singing that after the game!”
The interim boss will be hoping for more of the same against Motherwell after his side pulled off a stunning comeback at Rugby Park in his first game in charge.
Ferguson was serenaded with the same song by travelling fans in Ayrshire that night and will be looking to stay in their good books again this afternoon.
