In case you missed it, Penn Badgley and Domino Kirke are expecting twins! During this surprise announcement, they enlisted their son James to help; and it turned out to be such a sweet post!
On Feb 28, Kirke announced the news over Instagram with some sweet photos of Badgley and their son James. She wrote, “Babies #3 and #4 coming this Summer! Talk about a PLOT TWIST! Spontaneous twins are beyond magical. We are stunned. We are in awe. Can’t think of anyone else I’d rather be on this ride with @pennbadgley 👶♥️👶🎢#handsoffthewheel #monoditwins”
In the first photo, we get an adorable photo-booth-type snapshot of Badgley holding onto his and Kirke’s son James, who both kiss Kirke’s pregnant belly! How wonderful! And to keep up the love fest, the second photo of a red, heart-shaped cake that reads “marry me over and over!” Talk about a romance novel come to life.
Not only do we love that they’re expanding their family with twins, but they made sure to make sure their son James is helping along the way!
For those who don’t know, Badgley and Kirke started dating in 2014. They married in 2017, and he became the stepfather to her son, Cassius Riley, 16. They also welcomed a son named James, born in Aug 2020.
In a previous interview with the New York Times’ Modern Love podcast, Badgley talked about having a stepson and a biological son and how he parents them differently. “I have an interesting situation where I have a biological son and a stepson,” he said. “And my stepson…his father is very much in his life, so his father is his father, and I’m something else. So I have two different kind of parental roles.”
