After over 30 years, we have finally identified the victim of a 1988 homicide case in Quincy, CA. Thanks to advancements in forensic technology and the hard work of law enforcement, the victim has been confirmed as Paul Richard Davis, a former resident of Kern County.
The case began when a tree removal crew discovered human remains in a secluded area of Plumas County in 1988. Despite numerous efforts over the years, the identity remained unknownāuntil now.
In 2024, through Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) and DNA testing, we were able to track down relatives of Paul Davis, confirming his identity. His family hadnāt heard from him since the early 1980s and didnāt know why he would have been in the Plumas County area.
