SUNLOUNGER hoggers are now hitting resorts in Egypt after a woman’s early start still left her fuming.
The TikToker who goes by the username @themrsmayofficial was on holiday in Egypt and wanted to nab a good sunbed by the pool.

Mrs May set a 6.30am alarm to make sure she secured sun beds on her holiday[/caption]
Other than the sunbed ‘wars’, Mrs May insisted she couldn’t fault the resort[/caption]
Mrs May, who was on holiday with her three children, started the video off by the pool holding her towels and simply said “if you can’t beat them, join them”.
She went on to explain that she’d set her alarm for 6.30am simply to secure some sunbeds.
But what was more shocking was that Mrs May wasn’t even the first one there, scattered along the front row of loungers were towels people had put there to ‘reserve’ their spot to enjoy the morning sun.
After walking around the pool, that was completely empty of people, Mrs May had to give up and head on over to the back row of loungers to nab a space.
Mrs May added: “I’m kind of annoyed that this happens actually, in some hotels they move them, they just get rid of them – I’m very tempted.”
Her video, which consequently went viral, has hit 275.1k likes and 4726 saves, and has received many comments.
One person wrote: “This is such a silly concept to me. I’d simply move the towel and sit where I wanted if no one was there.”
Another added: “It actually ruins the holiday. I don’t understand why hotels don’t accommodate every guest with a lounger. There should be a booking system or something.”
A third said a hotel they stayed at had a different approach: “I went to a hotel that had a booking system. When you arrive you’d choose where to go and they’d be your loungers for your entire stay.”
Mrs May was on holiday at the five-star Serry Beach Resort in Egypt near Hurghada.

With room for over four hundred guests, the resort has two-outdoor pools surrounded by double width loungers.
On TripAdvisor there were comments left about the sunloungers which one described as being “out of control” when it came to limited availability.
Another commented that “every sun lounger” had been occupied and the pool was “crowded”.
The following day, Mrs May confessed to being “disappointed” that her video had gone viral because that was the “one negative” of the holiday.
But, the positive was that the hotel had seen had seen her video and had started putting measures in place to stop the sunbed problem.
Mrs May revealed when she went down to the pool the next day, the staff were taking off all the towels on the loungers.
But whether that change was permanent or not, wasn’t clear to Mrs May.
Research has suggested that two-third of Brits on holiday get anxiety over securing a sun bed.
Council chiefs in the popular Costa Blanca have warned tourists who try and reserve sunbeds, towels and parasols could face a fine of £210.
Etiquette expert gives gives his opinion on sun lounger ‘wars’

William Hanson says it shouldn’t be acceptable for people to reserve a lounger for the day…
While holidaymakers may be forgiven, even two etiquette experts can’t decide on the best way to nab a bed in the sun.
Renowned etiquette expert, William Hanson, believes there is a 30-minute grace period on poolside reservations. This is where hotel guests can use a towel or a book to reserve a spot for no longer than half an hour.
William told the Sun Online Travel: “In the morning, at the start of the day, and you’re by the pool after breakfast, then it’s fine at 8.30 to put your towel on the bed to reserve your spot.
“But later on in the day after you’ve used the lounger, and go off for a massage, for example, which is going to be an hour, then you can’t use a towel to reserve the sun lounger.”
