‘Omg it’s so good’ say Love Islanders as they try Irish food staple for first time

TWO Love Islanders have tried an Irish food staple for the first time – and they said it is “so good.”

When travelling around Dublin, the Love Island pair took to social media to share their thoughts on an Irish culinary delight – the spice bag.

The reality stars went to Xian’s Street food – a hugely popular Chinese takeaway that has been regarded as having one of the best spice bags in Ireland.

To start, the pair were surprised when their order came in a box instead of a bag as the name suggests.

And Jessie also assumed that the Irish staple was a seafood dish.

She said: “I thought it had seafood.

“But it has chicken wings, chicken nuggets and chicken strips.”

The Love Island couple went on to say that the chips were really nice, especially paired with curry sauce.

They added: “The chips are off to a good start, and we got some curry sauce.

“Oh my God, this is actually so good.”

Up next, the reality stars tried shredded chicken with mayonnaise – an uncommon sauce with the dish.

They added: “That was so good, I could literally have another one.””

People have taken to the comment section to share their thoughts on the clip.

One person wrote: “Mayo on a spice box is criminal.”

Another said: “They are the best spice bags.”

This comes after an Australian tourist told how he tried some popular Irish foods during his visit to Ireland – and revealed how he rated them.

Chicken fillet roll

The first popular food item the tourist tried was the Irish staple – a chicken fillet roll from Centra.

He decided to go for a spicy fillet with some butter on his roll, and he rated it a solid 7/10.

Ham jambon

The next popular food dish the tourist tried was ham.

This was one of his favourite food options during his visit, and the mouth-watering pastry paired with creamy cheese and ham made him rate it a 9/10.

Supermacs

The tourist then tried some grub from the fan-favourite Irish restaurant Supermacs.

He decided to go with their staple chicken pieces and a regular burger, but admitted it didn’t impress him too much which led to only a mark of 4/10.

Curry chips

Another Irish staple the tourist tried was a portion of chips and curry from Emerald Park.

This was also one of his highest rated options during the visit, giving it a mark of 8/10.
