The 20-something-year-old revealed that not only was it super cheap, but she was also basically on holiday the entire time.

Nicola moved over to Thailand to visit her dream destinations and became an English teacher so she could afford to stay there.

She moved to Chiang Mai, a forested part of the country and hasn’t looked back.

To top it off, she revealed she paid just £214 a month for her lavish marble apartment.

She said: “Moving from the UK to Thailand in your early twenties and this is where you’ve just moved into for £214 a month.”

The stunning one-bedroom flat had marble floors and walls all over, adding a luxe feel that would cost a fortune in the UK.

Nicola’s bathroom featured a stunning waterfall shower and the flat came with a utility room as well.

The gorgeous king-sized bed sat in a massive bedroom kitted out with white marble floors and plenty of storage.

“12 months a year of sun, my dream job, very low cost of living, amazing people, culture and food AND I get to visit my dream destinations on my weekends/school holidays,” Nicola captioned the post.

“An absolute no brainer decision.”

Nicola admitted her salary wasn’t as high as in the UK but because the cost of living was so cheap in Thailand, she was actually better off.

“The cost of living here is way less than in the UK,” she explained.

The clip posted to her TikTok account @nicolaloucas has gone viral with over 662k views and 105k likes.

People were quick to take to the comments to share their thoughts – many from the UK said they were tempted to follow in her footsteps.

One person wrote: “What am I still doing in London?”

Another commented: “Paying 2k rent for a year?? I’m moving.”

“Yeah, I need to get out of the UK,” penned a third.

Moving house hacks

1. Declutter Before You Pack

Sort through your belongings and get rid of anything you no longer need. Donate, sell, or recycle items to lighten your load.

2. Create an Inventory

Make a list of all your items. This helps keep track of everything and ensures nothing gets lost in the move.

3. Use Quality Packing Materials

Invest in sturdy boxes, bubble wrap, and packing tape. This will protect your belongings during the move.

4. Label Everything

Clearly label each box with its contents and the room it belongs to. This makes unpacking much easier and more organized.

5. Pack a ‘First Day’ Box

Include essentials like toiletries, a change of clothes, snacks, and important documents. This will keep you from rummaging through boxes on your first day.

6. Take Photos of Electronics Setup

Before unplugging your electronics, take photos of the wiring setup. This will make it easier to reconnect everything at your new place.

7. Use Suitcases for Heavy Items

Pack books and other heavy items in rolling suitcases. This makes them easier to transport and reduces the risk of injury.

8. Colour-Code Your Boxes

Use different coloured stickers or markers for each room. This will help movers quickly identify where each box should go in your new home.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Gorgeous home.”

“At this point, what am I still doing in London?” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “I’m so tempted.”
