Ever since Paul “Triple H” Levesque has taken charge of WWE, the company has witnessed a creative rebirth that has once again made entertainment wrestling fun to watch. The company has been thriving under his leadership as he has been discarding the restrictions set by its previous owner, Vince McMahon, after he was forced to step away after he faced serious legal charges for s*xual misconduct.

Since then, the Game has been making minor and major changes. However, the most prominent business decision he took was expanding their relationship with Netflix, as all the live shows and exclusive PPVs are now streamed on the OTT platform.
However, Nick Khan, the President of WWE, unravels how the joint venture was just the beginning and how great things are yet to arrive as their partnership will mark major changes in the organization’s landscape.
Nick Khan teases Netflix’s appetite for more WWE
With Triple H taking command as the Chief Content Officer and taking over all of WWE’s creative decisions, he has been on a mission to not only improve the quality of life for its talented locker room but also make the company earn more profit. To ensure this transformation was met, he struck a golden deal with Netflix.

This partnership was a massive step for both the streaming giant and the wrestling world, as it ensured uninterrupted high-flying action in the palm of their hands. The partnership has already witnessed increased viewership via 411Mania, enjoying the same boom during the 1980s and the Attitude Era in the late 90s.
However, that was just the tip of the iceberg because speaking on the TKO 2024 earnings call via Fightful, Nick Khan, the President of WWE, mentioned how the deal was just the beginning and how Netflix has showcased a growing “appetite for more WWE.”

He said,
All we’ve seen from Netflix is an appetite for more WWE. They’ve been phenomenal to deal with. They’ve promoted us in a way we hoped we would be promoted, even more so than we had hoped.
Khan added their announcement of having a behind-the-scenes program would make them presume how more is yet to come in the near future.
The appetite by Netflix to have additional ancillary programming, we announced a few weeks ago, we’re doing a WWE behind the scenes show with Netflix, which will come out later this year. Assume there is more cooking in the pipeline.
The BTS show will not be the first series, as Mr. McMahon gives detailed insight into Vince McMahon’s controversial career and the strained relationship with his son, Shane McMahon.
Triple H has great hopes for the WWE-Netflix deal
With the results evident from the premiere of the Monday Night RAW on Netflix, many wrestling enthusiasts believe things are only going to get better from now onwards. After the RAW segment on January 6, 2025, in the post-show interview via WWE, the Cerebral Assassin commented on the future of the company and how Netflix understands the true value of entertainment wrestling.

He said,
Netflix gets it, you know, I believe we’ve been with USA for a long period of time because they understand it. The numbers are there; Netflix is a numbers company and I believe they will run with that and the sky is the limit.
He added that knowing that once the show goes live, the possibility of having 283 million global subscribers tune in to the show is an incredible opportunity that they want to have.
There’s just something to be standing out there and when that red light goes on, you know there’s 283 million subscribers that have the opportunity to tune in and see what you do globally, all at once
With WWE on its way to WrestleMania, things are getting spicy as Dwayne Johnson awaits Cody Rhodes’ answer at the Elimination Chamber, which will add to the show’s increased viewership and anticipation that Triple H’s vision is renowned for.
WWE Elimination Chamber will air live on Peacock and Netflix on March 1, 2025, at 7ET/ 4PT.
