MOTORISTS are facing severe delays this morning following a multi-vehicle crash on a Irish busy motorway.
Some Irish Rail commuters are also facing disruption on a number of routes this morning.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland warned there’s a multi-vehicle crash on the M7/N7 eastbound between J2 Kingswood and J1a Newlands Cross.
TII said: “Some delays to your journey may occur.
“When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and please obey instructions from emergency services.”
There is also some congestion on the M50 southbound, causing further delays for commuters.
IRISH RAIL DELAYS
Some commuters travelling with Irish Rail are also facing delays and disruptions on certain routes.
The 6:30am Carlow/Heuston service is operating approximately 11 minutes behind schedule this morning due to a technical issue onboard.
The 6:40am Sligo/Connolly service also departed Sligo approximately 13 minutes behind schedule this morning.
Services operating between Portarlington/Tullamore may experience delays of approximately 10 minutes due to a signalling issue.
The 8am Belfast Grand Central to Dublin Connolly train is being delayed at Belfast Grand Central due to a train fault.
It will be formed of 3 coaches and the first class will not be available and catering will be reduced.
BUS EIREANN CANCELLATIONS
Meanwhile, Bus Eireann has issued a number of service disruptions and cancellations for commuters.
Route 2 at 1pm from Wexford to Dublin Airport has been cancelled.
Route 2 from Dublin Airport to Wexford at 5pm has also been cancelled.
Irish Rail has also confirmed the following service cancellations: Route 22 at 7am from Dublin to Ballina, Route 30 at 8am from Dublin to Donegal and the Route 109 at 8:25am from Dunshaughlin to Dublin.
And the Route 132 at 8:15 am from Rosslare Europort to Dublin is delayed by 30 minutes to departure.
