Fans have been clamoring for a Supernatural crossover ever since Ackles debuted as Soldier Boy in The Boys Season 3. Now, their wishes are finally coming true. Amazon Prime Video confirmed that Padalecki and Collins will have guest roles in the upcoming season, and what’s more—they will share screen time with Ackles.

In a humorous promo video, Ackles playfully tells Padalecki,

“Hey, Jared. We got work to do…again.”

However, to this, Padalecki responds,

 “Okay. I’ll tell Misha.”

Collins then makes an appearance, visibly confused, as he asks his friends, “What are we doing?” Needless to say, fans will be delighted, and the latest announcement only increases the hype surrounding season 5 of The Boys.

While it’s confirmed that both Padalecki and Collins will appear in guest roles, details about their characters remain under wraps. Kripke has long expressed his desire to reunite the Supernatural trio, previously stating that bringing them together again would “break the internet.” (via Collider)

With The CW canceling Walker, Padalecki’s schedule opened up, paving the way for his The Boys debut. Collins’ involvement, however, came as an unexpected but welcome twist. Regardless, the announcement only increases the hype for the final season of the series. With Homelander well in control, The Boys will need a few miracles in order to turn the tide in the upcoming season.

The series is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
