I paid £80 for a haircut but was left bawling when I saw the results – it was like he’d never cut locks before

A WOMAN was left considering shaving her head after a haircut she’d paid £80 for went horribly wrong.

Julia explained that she’d wanted a cut and some layers put in, but couldn’t believe it when she looked in the mirror and saw the results.

She shared a video on TikTok of the disastrous cut, as she wrote over the top: “Can someone who does hair please tell me if this is fixable before I crash out and shave my head please?”

“He cut my hair like it was his first day!” Julia added in the caption.

“….. Where did you go? Super cuts?” one person asked in the comments section.

“Cancelled my hair appointment because of this,” another admitted.

“I would legit cry!” a third wrote.

To which Julia replied; “I cried so much!”

“Exact thing happened to me, 6 months till you look normal tbh, someone else said.

“But just curl it for now.”

As other remarks came from stylists, all of whom told Julia the cut was fixable.

“This would be my dream fix as a stylist!!” one wrote.

“Totally fixable don’t cut it all off! Hairdresser here and it just needs so blending!” another urged.

“Yes it’s fixable!! Don’t chop it off!” a third insisted.

“Just needs a lot of point cutting and blending! I’ve fixed this before!” someone else said.

As another wrote: “It just needs to be blended & thinned out better – 1000% fixable.

“And it will look soooo good in a couple months. It’s gonna look so good curled!”

Julia later returned to the social media site to share a new video in which she showed off her “fixed” hair after managing to find a salon that would fit her in last minute.

Hairstyles that are kind to your locks

  1. Loose Braids: Opt for loose, soft braids rather than tight ones to minimise tension on the scalp and reduce breakage.
  2. Low Ponytail: A low ponytail is less stressful on your hair compared to high, tight ponytails. Use a fabric-covered hair tie to avoid snagging.
  3. Messy Bun: A relaxed, messy bun can be both stylish and kind to your hair. Avoid pulling your hair too tightly and use gentle hair ties.
  4. Soft Waves: Embrace your natural texture or use heatless methods to create soft waves, reducing the need for damaging heat styling tools.
  5. Half-Up, Half-Down: This style keeps some hair pulled back while leaving the rest down, reducing the strain on your scalp.
  6. Headbands and Scarves: Using headbands or scarves can keep hair out of your face without causing damage, and they can be quite fashionable.
  7. Loose Plaits for Sleeping: Before bed, loosely plait your hair to prevent tangles and breakage overnight.

“You’re so lucky you went to someone that knew what they were doing!” one person commented on that video.

“You look great! People who are saying it’s just styled have never tried to style THAT first cut!”

“Wow!! Your hair is gorgeous – fabulous cut! You’re so beautiful,” another gushed.

“It turned out so pretty!” a third insisted.
