The male pair were stood down by bosses and flown back to Heathrow in disgrace.
They are believed to face drug testing and could be sacked.
The Sun understands a row broke out in popular cocktail bar Chijmes earlier this month.
The BA captain and steward were confronted by colleagues who had spotted them emerging from the lavatories together.
Amid a growing argument, the steward started to strip off before a fight broke out.
Complaints were made to bosses and the pilot and steward were suspended from duty.
A source said: “Chijmes in Singapore is a popular venue targeted by dozens of airline employees on stopovers, so it’s always rammed with crew.
“During the night, there was alarm at a captain and crew member seen emerging from toilets with a bag containing white powder.
“As tensions escalated, the steward started getting undressed.
“A row turned into pushing and shoving from the BA team appalled at their colleagues’ behaviour.
“Some staff had to be escorted back to the hotel and there were always going to be repercussions.”
A BA spokesman said: “We expect the highest standards from our colleagues and are investigating these allegations.”
