A teenager from Cincinnati, Ohio, has been charged with murdr after allegedly fatally shooting his stepfather, who had reportedly assaulted his mother just a day prior. According to authorities, Ronez Joyce, 15, is accused of shooting 30-year-old Levonte Hyde approximately 12 times at their home. The teens mother had previously filed a police report stating that Hyde had punched her multiple times in the face while they were driving home from the store. According to FOX19, court documents state that Joyces mother had visible injuries to her face. [The couple were driving to the victims house from the store when Mr. Hyde called (the) victim a (vulgar name). A verbal argument ensued, Mr. Hyde then began to hit (the) victim in the face several times with a closed fist while driving. When they arrived home minutes later, Joyce is said to have shot his abusive stepfather least 12 times.
Cops arrived at the house at around 12:30 a.m. where they found Hyde suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center but later pronounced dead, police said. Joyce was taken into custody, where he denied the charges during his court appearance on Friday. He is being held in custody until his next court hearing on March 3.
