Sterling K. Brown Congratulates ‘This Is Us’ Costar Justin Hartley on ‘Tracker’ Season 3 Renewal

The Pearson brothers just gave This Is Us fans a taste of nostalgia with their latest exchange! Sterling K. Brown reacted to the announcement that Justin Hartley’s Tracker has been renewed for season 3.

At the start of the week, Justin, 48, posted a video on Instagram thanking the cast and crew of Tracker for helping secure the show’s third season on CBS.

“I just wanted to congratulate everyone on season 2; our numbers are up from season 1. Something like six percent or eight percent or 11 percent or something like that. That hardly ever happens,” the Smallville alum told his coworkers in the video. “It’s all thanks to you guys, and because of all the hard work you’ve done on season 2, they have picked us up for season 3. They didn’t give us information as far as like the number of episodes, but it’s somewhere between 18 and 22, so that’s pretty good.”

In the comments section, Sterling, 48, wrote, “Congrats, Bro!!! You ain’t going nowhere for ‘bout 15 years!!!”

The Emmy winner is currently starring in his own drama series, Paradise, on Hulu.

This Is Us fans couldn’t help but gush over Justin and Sterling’s success following their run as the Pearson brothers on the NBC show from 2016 to 2022.

One person wrote, “@sterlingkbrown both you bros absolutely killing it right now.”

Another comment said, “@sterlingkbrown And neither are you! So happy you both are on my screens weekly again!”

Sterling also recently celebrated some fantastic news of his own as Paradise was renewed for season 2, Hulu announced earlier this week.

Another person commented, “@sterlingkbrown neither are you!!!! Congrats on Paradise S2!!!!” as another said, “@sterlingkbrown showing that ‘brotherly’ love!”

When This Is Us ended, Sterling said that he planned to keep in contact with all of his costars.

“I miss it. I love it. I miss my family,” Brown said, referring to the show and the cast,” the American Crime Story alum said during an August 2022 Today appearance.

“Everybody’s still talking to each other constantly. This is family for life. It’s not done. We just keep on moving.”

Justin also hinted that he hoped to have some of his This Is Us costars on Tracker in the future after Jon Huertas directed an episode,

“I think we will,” he responded at a Q&A in October 2024.

“We’ve all talked about [bringing the show back in some way]. I don’t know if there are plans to reboot it — I haven’t been involved yet — which is a whole other conversation,” Justin said about This Is Us. “But I still keep in touch with all of those guys. They are all so great, they will be lifelong friends of mine. I love them all.”

Jon, 55, also said himself that he would like to direct future episodes of Tracker.

“There have been some conversations about me coming back to direct for sure. Justin has talked to me about being in front of the camera on the show at some point. But we’ll see,” he told Us Weekly. “I’m going to be directing a lot this year so it’s all about figuring out if I can fit an acting gig in there. We’ll see about the in front of the camera thing but I’ll definitely be back to direct a few episodes this year.”
