RTE Fair City viewers have all been left “howling” after Emma got her comeuppance in a wine-soaked moment.
On tonight’s episode, Mondo and Orla tried to soothe Kira’s auction nerves.
However, as rehearsals began, Emma’s pals proved to be a handful when they insisted on ordering champagne.
Kira’s stress mounted as the rehearsals got underway with Emma’s unruly friends.
The rehearsal started to slipped out of Kira’s control as egos clashed and the women bickered over outfits.
While that was happening, Emma continued to flex her authority over the auction and her friends.
In the chaos, a glass of wine was thrown at Emma, ruining her dress.
A furious Kira then fired Emma and her pals and cancelled the auction.
And RTE viewers all ran to Twitter to react to the dramatic TV moment.
Sinead wrote: “She was getting too big for her boots anyways #faircity.”
Pamela said: “I’m howling, these girls can’t be her friends.”
Anne added: “I can’t believe her own friends turned on her.”
And Carly remarked: “This is absolutely shocking.”
Elsewhere on the episode, Kira admitted to Mondo that she had bit off more than she could chew.
Orla and Kira then decided to place full blame on Emma for the failure of the auction.
At the pub, Kira rejected Emma’s half-hearted apology.
Emma started to get worried about her reputation when she saw Mondo and others laughing at a video of the wine incident.
OVER-WORKED
Meanwhile, Erica pleaded with Georgie to double his efforts in deterring Doug’s proposal.
Erica’s stressed over work after her course assignments grew.
Doug won Georgie over with a heartfelt declaration of what marrying Erica meant to him.
As Dolores piled more responsibility on Erica, she decided to quit her course.
Erica then took her stress out on Doug, which led him to worry about her well being.
CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE
Separately, Greg felt caught in the middle when Renee accused him of betrayal.
Ellie overheard Jacinta gossiping about her to Greg.
Mairead was then left irked when she learned that Renee labelled her as vulnerable.
Greg second guessed himself when childminding duties clashed with his managerial ambitions.
Mairead confronted Renee and was relieved when she agreed not to tell Damien.
HAPPY ENDING
Renee asked Mairead for a reference for the co-op job.
Greg was impressed with Ellie’s handling of Jacinta’s gossip mongering.
Renee was relieved when Greg decided to drop out of the race.
Renee felt guilty when she read Mairead’s kind job reference.
Ellie urged Greg to run as deputy manager on Renee’s ticket.
When Jacinta brought Ellie’s mother into her gossiping, Ellie warned her to watch her back.
Renee surprised Mairead by lending a sympathetic ear.
