A SUPERDRUG manager who ploughs her entire wage back into the store has shared her top budget buys from the supermarket shop.
She took to her TikTok page to post pictures of her recommendations, kicking off with Rimmel’s Butter Me Up lip butters.

“The BEST butter balms on the market (the applicator is chef’s kiss),” she wrote.
“Summer Fridays who?”
The Rimmel balms are also a lot cheaper than the Summer Fridays original – £9.99 compared to a whopping £23.
She continued her make-up suggestions with the Elf Thirst Burst Drops, which she said “makes your skin so glowy before make-up”, and the Elf Camo liquid bronzer and contour, which are “so pigmented and blend like a dream”.
The Vitamin E Hydrating mist is a favourite among skincare fans – including the Superdrug employee from the Godalming store, who insisted: “I will NEVER stop stocking up on this”.
She’s a big fan of the new Maybelline lip tints, as well as their Super Fluff.
“Try this and thank me later for super fluffy, defined brows,” she promised.
On the fake tan front, she rates the Tanologist Self-tan Facial Mist and the Effn Tanning Foam, the latter of which she says “STAYS dark after being washed off”.
And when you need to remove your tan, try the Dove Exfoliating Body Scrub.
The Garnier Body Superfood hydrating gel-cream is a must for dry skin and “smells unreal”, while you need to get the Eylure Volume & Curl lashes if you want to look like you’ve got lash extensions.
The L’Oreal Elvive Glycolic Gloss is “the best shampoo if you have hair extensions” as it’s sulphate free and “makes your hair so soft”, while she swears by Glued for Brows and Edges when she’s doing a slicked back look to keep the flyaways at bay.
The Elf Power Grip spray and the L’Oreal Infallible spray mean “your make-up won’t budge”, while L’Oreal’s Lumi Glotion gives the perfect base before make-up and their Liquid Blush in the same range “looks gorgeous on the skin”.
She concluded her list by recommending the Garnier Vitamin C serum, which “brightens my dull skin and doesn’t break me out”.
And the Mar-e-Sol Body mist – a dupe of the Sol de Janeiro spray which “smells unreal”.
People were quick to comment on the TikTok, with many saying that the hydrating mist is one of their favourites.
“Hydrating mist alwaysssss,” one wrote.
Biggest skincare trends for 2025
Face The Future’s Head of Clinic, Kimberley Medd, shared the five skincare trends predicted to take off in 2025.
1. Exosomes
Exosomes are the buzzword for 2025, taking advanced skin regeneration to new heights. These micro-messengers signal skin cells to repair damage, boost collagen, and accelerate recovery, and they’re a gamechanger for targeting ageing.
2. Streamlined Skincare
The age of 12-step routines is fading as consumers shift to more intentional, multi-functional products. Streamlining skincare not only saves time but also reduces the risk of overloading your skin. In 2025, we’ll see a rise in hybrid products that combine active ingredients for simplified, effective results.
3. Vegan Collagen
Plant-based collagen will dominate the skincare world this year, providing a sustainable, ethical alternative to traditional animal-derived collagen. Expect vegan collagen in everything from moisturisers to serums.
4. The Rise Of AI
AI is revolutionising the beauty landscape, making it possible for consumers to get truly personalised skincare solutions. In 2025, we predict a dramatic shift towards AI-powered tools that help people understand their skin on a deeper level.
5. Hair Loss Solutions –
Hair loss is an issue that affects more men than we often realise, and it’s no longer just something we’re talking about behind closed doors. This year, expect to see a continued rise in demand for treatments that not only tackle hair loss but also nurture overall scalp health.
With the store replying: “The girls that get it, get it!”
“That vitamin e spray is INCREDIBLE,” another added.
“For literally £5 it’s transformed my skin,” a third said.
“It glows now, my fine lines have improved and you don’t need moisturiser if you use it straight after a shower.”
