Actress and singer Ariana Grande is at the height of her career and recently received her first-ever Oscar nomination for Wicked. However, the news of her success has not been gaining as much attention as her health. Since the last few years, the singer-actress’ health seems to be deteriorating, including a very ‘concerning’ weight loss.

While the internet seems to have been getting a ‘kick’ out of it all, from making jokes about her appearance to bashing her, Grande herself isn’t concerned at all.
Fans mock Ariana Grande for her concerning ‘weight loss’

For the past two years or so, Ariana Grande has been appearing noticeably thinner and thinner with each public appearance. While the singer-actress has denied a dozen times that there is anything wrong with her, fans continue to grow worried about her appearance.
While the majority of her fans are concerned and have been voicing their worries over her shocking weight loss and apparent deteriorating health, there are some netizens who seem to be making jokes about her physical appearance. Phrases and words like ‘For just 70 cents a day you can feed an Ariana Grande’ have become increasingly common on social media.
On the other hand, there are people who allege she is either suffering from an eating disorder or taking the infamous pill Ozempic.
Apart from the mocking comments, some fans of hers have also been comparing her drastic appearance change to that of the late Chadwick Boseman, who in his last days appeared to look severely malnourished due to cancer. As the range of comments about her appearance continues, Grande has no care for them at all and appears cheerful and happy in her public appearances.
Ariana Grande on her ‘concerning’ weight loss

Recently, a source close to Page Six revealed that Ariana Grande’s grueling shoot schedule and marathon press tour as well her her past traumatic experiences have taken a heavy toll on her physical health.
However, while the actress has previously spoken about her experience and past several times, she does not appear too concerned. Back in 2023, via a TikTok video, Grande revealed that her ‘healthiest’ time had been one of lowest points in her life, filled with anti-depressants and drinking, and that she was happier now (via The Blast).
More recently in December, the actress in an interview with French content creator Crazy Sally, choked up while talking about the constant media attention and pressure on her to look perfect at all times.
I’ve been doing this in front of the public and been a specimen in a Petri dish really since I was 16 or 17. I have heard it all. I’ve heard every version of it… It’s something that is uncomfortable no matter what scale you’re experiencing it on, even if you go to Thanksgiving dinner and someone’s granny says ‘Oh my god you look skinnier, what happened?’ or ‘you look heavier what happened?’
Moreover, while accepting the Rising Star award at the 2025 Palm Springs Festival (see YouTube), the actress took the chance to mock her ‘appearance’ and the many demeaning words fans had been calling her. As the speculation around her appearance continues, raising concerns and mocking comments, Ariana Grande remains unbothered.
