FA Cup winners odds: Outright betting wide open with Arsenal and Chelsea out as Man City, Newcastle and Man Utd contest

MANCHESTER CITY remain the outright favourites for FA Cup glory heading into the round-of-16 fixtures.

The competition – which City lost in the final last year – is the only trophy Pep Guardiola’s side can win this season after a disastrous mid-season campaign.

With Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all out before the round-of-16 stage, this looks an ideal opportunity for the Cityzens to taste success in an otherwise disappointing campaign.

But they won’t have it all their own way, with rivals Manchester United looking to defend their title and the likes of Newcastle, Bournemouth and Aston Villa eyeing huge domestic silverware.

Who is left in the FA Cup?

Remarkably, just one of the current top four in the Premier League at the time of writing are in the competition reaching the last 16 stage.

Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been dumped out, prioritising other competitions. As have Tottenham, who are desperate for silverware.

Holders Man Utd and rivals Man City are still involved, as are Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Brighton.

Fulham, Crystal Palace, Wolves and Ipswich make up the Premier League participants.

While from the second tier, Burnley, Millwall, Cardiff, Preston and Plymouth are still in with a chance.

FA Cup outright odds

As mentioned, Man City are the bookies’ favourites to claim FA Cup glory this season.

They won the competition in the 2022/23 campaign before losing out in the final last season.

They’re the leading fancies at 7/4 with Bet365, ahead of Carabao Cup finalists Newcastle at 5/1 and Aston Villa at 7/1.

Bournemouth are 9/1, ahead of the holders at 10/1 with Ruben Amorim surely eyeing this piece of silverware as a priority for the remainder of the campaign. Though no side has successfully defended the cup since Arsenal in 2015.

Brighton and Nottingham Forest are 14/1 chances ahead of London pair Fulham and Crystal Palace at 16s.

Amongst the outsiders, Premier League strugglers Wolves (28/1) and Ipswich (33/1) can use the cup to mask their league woes.

Championship sides Burnley (66/1), Millwall (80/1), Preston (100/1), Cardiff (150/1) and Plymouth (200/1) have it all to do.
