Alec Baldwin Mercilessly Mocked Trump on SNL Years Before Threatening Impersonator

Alec Baldwin is no stranger to controversy and there have been more than a few times that he has been caught up in some kind of controversy or the other. And the incident is once again making headlines due to Baldwin’s recent run-in with a Donald Trump impersonator and later threats to him. While fans are on Baldwin’s side, the incident also brings back the memories of Baldwin’s hilarious SNL Trump skit during the current POTUS’ first term in office.

Alec Baldwin has been going viral for his recent interaction with a Donald Trump impersonator called Jason Scoop. While outside his home, Baldwin was unloading his suitcase from a vehicle when Scoop approached him as can be seen in a now-viral clip.

As Baldwin continued with his work, seemingly unbothered at first, Scoop stated: Alec, it’s your favorite President. Look, Alec, I will offer you a total pardon ’cause I wanna be friends, right? I wanna be friends. I will give you a total pardon for murdering that woman if you kiss the ring.

While Baldwin continued to ignore him, taking off his luggage from the vehicle, Scoop came in front of him and continued calling him out, asking him to kiss the ring for a pardon since the Republicans were now in office.

Well, Alec, if you don’t want that pardon for murdering that woman in cold blood… You can call it first-degree, you can call it whatever you want, but it was not good. She’s looking down on me right now. Smiling. Happy. ‘Thank you for confronting the man who took me out, who killed me.’

After continued interference and cruel remarks, Baldwin finally had enough and approached Scoop, threatening him with physical violence:

Now, let me ask you a question. You realize, by the way… Look at me. I want you to look at me. You got a camera on me here? You realize my kids live in this building? But I want you to know something. I want you to be real careful. If this camera wasn’t here, I’d snap your f—–g neck in half and break your f—–g neck right here. You know that, don’t you?

While Scoop did not stop there, Baldwin went on his way. If you do not know already the woman Trump impersonator was referring to was the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins who was accidentally killed on the sets of Rust by Baldwin who fired a gun during a rehearsal, unaware the gun had a live round or was a real one.

He was later charged with involuntary manslaughter but all charges were dropped against him in December 2024. Baldwin, however, has recently lodged a lawsuit against New Mexico’s Santa Fe district attorney and other officials for wrongfully persecuted for manslaughter (via The Independent).

Alec Baldwin, like any other person, was minding his own business when Jason Scoop, the Donald Trump impersonator approached him. While the It’s Complicated star ignored him at first, he finally grew agitated at Scoop repeatedly hackling him about the infamous Rust accident, leading him to confront him and threaten him.

Back in 2019, during Donald Trump’s first term, Baldwin himself had made fun of the POTUS during several hilarious Saturday Night Live sketches (see YouTube), but when Scoop approached him as his ‘favorite president,’ Baldwin couldn’t hold himself back. As the video has now gone viral, here are the reactions of fans and netizens:

Despite the many controversial actions of Alec Baldwin (see US Magazine), and netizens being generally against him, many of them supported Baldwin, stating that Jason Scoop was being obnoxious and mean. While Baldwin is yet to remark on his behavior, the video continues to go viral, once again bringing the Rust accident back into the limelight.
