ONE person has died and three others, including a nine-year-old child, have been injured after a horror bus crash.

The bus and a car collided on Whitmore Road in Harrow, northwest Londonat around 10.20pm on Monday.

Shocking images from the scene show the front window of a 395 bus shattered and a car wedged between hedges and a fence metres away.

One person died in the horror crash, confirmed the London Ambulance Service.

But it is not yet confirmed whether the person was a passenger in either the bus or the car or a pedestrian.

A nine-year-old child was among four other people rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Their current condition is unknown at the time of writing.

It has not been confirmed if they were passengers on the bus, the car, waiting at the bus stop or a combination of these.

Cops and emergency services rushed to the scene with a major probe launched by the Metropolitan Police’s collision investigation unit.

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured any footage to come forward with information.

Road closures and diversions were in effect in the area as investigators attempted to piece together the events leading up to the crash.

The A312 has been reopened – both towards Harrow and towards Northolt – but the probe continues.

Whitmore Road, which runs west from the A312 towards The Ridgeway and West Harrow – has also reopened. 

London Ambulance Service said in a statement it was called to reports of a road traffic collision at 9.17pm yesterday.

It added: “We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in fast response car, an incident response officer, members of our hazardous area response team (HART) as well as command support vehicles.

“We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance. We treated four patients at the scene before taking two patients to a major trauma centre and discharging one patient at the scene.”

“Very sadly, despite best efforts of our crews, one person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
