‘Making it hard to see was the point’: Solo Leveling Fans Refuse to Admit Jinwoo vs Baran Was Bad Animation That Seemed Intentional by A-1 Pictures

The latest episode of Solo Leveling season 2 has finally been released, and it has showcased the much-awaited battle between Demon King Baran and Sung Jinwoo, the protagonist of the series. Sung Jinwoo’s return to the Demon Castle to obtain the final ingredient for the Holy Water of Life required him to take down the villain and climb the 100 floors of the Demon Castle.

While the Solo Leveling protagonist struggled a little bit, he managed to make it to the last floor and thus faced the final boss of the castle. The fight was much awaited because it holds a lot of significance within the narrative, and while the story was depicted greatly, the animation quality, according to many, was not up to the expected mark.

However, there are still some diehard Solo Leveling fans who refuse to believe that A-1 Pictures dropped the ball with the animation of episode 8 of the second season. In fact, some have even stated that the low animation was intentional in order to make the fight feel more realistic from Sung Jinwoo’s perspective in the series.

A-1 Pictures disappoint with Sung Jinwoo vs Demon King Baran

The second season of Chugong’s Solo Leveling anime series has been constantly trending, and the hype has been totally worth it considering the arc adapted holds a lot of significance in the overall storyline. And while A-1 Pictures has done an amazing job with the animation quality of the episodes, it might have fumbled with episode 8 titled “Looking Up Was Tiring Me Out.”

The Solo Leveling episode was particularly important because it featured the final battle between Sung Jinwoo and Demon King Baran. The result of the battle decided whether Sung Jinwoo would be able to help his mom or not. And while he won against the Demon King, his fight was not adapted in a way that fans expected.

The animation quality was decent, but it was not as good as the previous episodes and thus felt a little disappointing. The production studio needs to focus more on such crucial moments in the Solo Leveling storyline, as they create the most hype among the fans of the series.

Fans still defend Solo Leveling’s animation

On the grand scale, A-1 Pictures was the perfect studio for animating the Solo Leveling series, and it has proved this time and time again. However, there have been a few complaints in the past, and a similar thing happened with the latest episode, which was evidently a big moment for the overall success of the ongoing season.

And while the second season of Solo Leveling has fumbled the bag with episode 8’s animation, hardcore fans are still in favor of the series and refuse to acknowledge the mistakes that the animation studio made.

This was seen on Reddit when a fan talked about the animation quality of the latest episode, but others tried to prove them wrong.

While A-1 Studios has done a great job in making Solo Leveling one of the greatest anime series of all time, there are still some moments like these that need special care. The upcoming storyline is going to be even more intense and thrilling and thus, the production studio needs to be ready with it.

Solo Leveling is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
