With 9-1-1season 8’s highly anticipated midseason premiere nearing, the LA-based first responder procedural has a lot to take away from the series finale of its spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star. The Texas spinoff wasn’t without flaws, with the 9-1-1: Lone Star finale’s controversial time-jump still rustling feathers, but there were plenty of bold and original moves made by the drama that the original series could benefit from adopting. Aside from adding even more depth to the ABC hit,9-1-1 paying homage to certain aspects of the spinoff can help its legacy live on, far after 9-1-1: Lone Star’s cancelation.
